Race Amity Day was established in 1957 by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baháʼís of the United States. Today it is observed around the world by people from many different backgrounds working together to promote racial harmony. Each year in June, this special day is in diverse ways—with discussions of vital issues, through service projects, and by enjoyment of the arts. Dance has power draw people together. It is a dynamic language of movement that can bridge cultural barriers, celebrate beauty and spirituality, and create joy and well-being. This year's program highlights the unifying power of dance, with diverse performances from a variety cultural traditions.
