Birth of the Báb
The Báb was born on October 20, 1819, in Shiraz, Persia (now Iran), of Siyyid ‘Ali-Muhammad, who later took the title of “the Báb,” meaning “the Gate.” A special year (2019), Bahá’ís observe the 200th year of the Báb’s birth & invite everyone to join in this celebration! The Báb was the herald of the Bahá’í Faith.
October 28th, 7 pm – 9 pm Bahá’í Faith Community Center.
A special commemoration for the Scottsdale Bahá’í community. Light refreshments.
Nov 2nd, Main Event/Evening Program – Bahá’í Faith Community Center. Open to all.
7 pm – 9 pm; Program will be about 60 minutes, will include dramatic readings and music followed by refreshments and social gathering.
Nov 3rd, Day Festival – 11 am – 4 pm Bahá’í Faith Community Center.
11:00 am – 1:00 pm; Film Documentaries: The Gate and latest video from Bahá’í World Centre to be shown inside the auditorium. Info display booth inside.
