Building Unity Beyond Race

SCOTTSDALE BAHÁ’ÍS TO HOLD DIALOGUE ON BUILDING UNITY BEYOND RACE

The Bahá’ís are convinced that the elimination of racial discrimination and racial prejudice is one of the most pressing imperatives of our time, and that each community must take concrete steps to address urgently, forthrightly and wholeheartedly the problem of racial discrimination to promote peace, understanding and tolerance in our respective communities.
Motivated by these convictions, the Bahá’í Community of Scottsdale has organized Race Unity events each year for more than 15 years.
The program on Sunday, August 30th 2015 will start with an Interfaith Devotional with reciting of prayers from various Religious scriptures.Participants will suggest solutions and offer recommendations to overcome the barriers that thwart race unity in our communities and offer suggestions and recommendations on how to overcome these obstacles.
